Shabir Mohamed
Director of Tennis and OperationsShabir Mohamed brings over 30 years of experience to the Atlantic Beach Tennis Center. Over the past four years, Shabir has turned around the club and been instrumental in rejuvenating the tennis scene in Atlantic Beach. Mohamed has trained a myriad of ranked USTA regional and sectional players, and has many fond memories attached to the Atlantic Beach Tennis Center since 1996. Mohamed returned to ABTC in June of 2006, renovating it with major changes.
Faisal Mohamed
Assistant Director of TennisReturning for his fourth season at Atlantic Beach Tennis Center, Faisal is one of the most popular tennis pro's at the club. His youthful energetic personality make him one of the most sought after tennis pro's for both youth and adult instruction. Before Atlantic Beach: Recently graduated from Division-I Binghamton University, Faisal led the Men's Varsity Tennis Team to their fourth America East Conference Title and NCAA birth. At his four years at Binghamton University, Faisal held the top singles and doubles position, compiling a record of 88-33 and 65-43 respectively. He was the Captain of the team his junior and senior years, were he also earned other accolades such as team MVP and All-Academic team. Prior to attending Binghamton University, Faisal competed on the national and state level where he competed successfully against his peers year after year. Faisal reached as high as top 5 (Boys 16's) in the eastern region and as high as 40 in the nation (Boys 14's). Faisal returns to Atlantic Beach after completing his final year at Binghamton University. He brings back several years of working experience and a successful Division I tennis season at Binghamton University at First Singles. He was the team's captain and led the team with wins in singles and in doubles, as well as winning the crown for Binghamton as American All Eastern Champs. Faisal is a Business and Management Major.
